Location

For the third year running, we would like to invite you to join us this year for Korea Culture Day on Saturday the 24th October 2026, where you can experience Korean culture first-hand outside the cinema. From 12pm onwards, we’ll be bringing a taste of Korea to the jugend-kultur-kirche sankt peter and look forward to seeing lots of you there!

The Program

Stage Program

As part of our stage program, you can look forward to, amongst other highlights, passionate dance performances set to the latest K-Pop releases by dance crews DASH and New Creation, as well as traditional dance and music performances by K-Yul from Cologne and the Korean Dance Project, who have travelled all the way from Berlin for you. As a musical highlight, we’re presenting a performance by the K-Indie and Rock band Kukbap – an event you definitely shouldn’t miss. You should also definitely try your luck in our quiz, to win some prizes.

If watching the performances has made you want to try your hand at music or dance yourself, you’re warmly invited to take part in a haegeum workshop led by K-Yul, or follow your sense of rhythm, perhaps even discover it for the first time, at the K-Pop dance workshop with DASH.

In addition, there will once again be a variety host of stalls where you can find out more about Korea, Korean culture and Korean food – with tastings included, of course. Amongst others, you’ll find information stands here run by the Korean Consulate-General, Jeollanamdo Province, the Korean Book Service and the German-Korean Society (DKG). You’ll also find Kim Ceramics, Ova Makgeolli and Minseok, who have brought along some delicious rice cakes for you to sample. Feel free to take part in our stamp rally again and collect stamps at the various stands so you can pick up one of our coveted goodie bags later on.

You can dive deeper into Korean cuisine thanks to the fantastic catering provided by Seoulmate, who have brought along a range of Korean food. You can also find tasty drinks and desserts at Sip With Moa.

All in all, it’s a day you won’t want to miss. We, for our part, are really looking forward to seeing you there!
